the pressure of the weather
or sadder presentations of
mothers we never knew
or the few times
the signs led us astray

in dismay of the instant reaction to change
laying before you as you tremble
and trip over lisps we were born into

we must explode if the situation warrants it
lids tight
lips unsealed
feelings revealed before the alternatives
and relativity of the sand storm
we were born into

sudden disguises when the rain is gone
done deals and reeling feelings of steel

nervous systems shaken awake
lakes too cold to sleep
unless you go in to deep

pushed to borders that make us pick sides
reride the waves

don’t be late
take upon you all that was yours and let go
what never was
there’s no tresspassing on land that was already yours

and never be bored
that’s an order
that’s a command

there’s nothing to prove
nothing to feel beyond
the rush of gushing blood

let’s set out on foot
to the rooted parts of a neverland
trusted to be rebuild when it’s time
