the fountainhead

the first time was close enough to home to run but just far enough to not be uncovered

then the horrible idea to lockpick a lighthouse

perhaps you would have liked to keep me there

safe and yet unseen for the rest of my scattered days

luckily neither of us succeeded

I walk past it now
years later

the lighthouse still intact
just as well as your fences

the view so much more delightful without the rush
